About Environmental School Courses:

Environmental School (ES) courses are open to everyone regardless of National Garden Club, Inc. (NGC) membership.  The goal of the studies is to advance environmental literacy to cherish, protect and conserve the living earth.

The courses investigate AIR, LAND and WATER.  Course Instructors are chosen for their individual knowledge and complimentary life experiences with the sciences:  Ecology, Environmental, Social, Public Policy and Earth Stewardship.

Course I is an introductory investigation; Courses II – IV are focused instruction on land, air and water.  Each course requires 8 hours in a classroom/keynote speaker setting and 2 hours in nature discovery out of doors.

Optional Exams are given for each course at the end of the 10 hours. Successful completion of the four courses and exams qualifies an NGC Member for the designation of Environmental Consultant.  Non-NGC members receive a Certificate of Achievement for each course successfully completed.
